Founded in 1968, we have always been a family-run business. Starting in our living room, Byron and Barbara, with their children as staff, began compiling and indexing source records for genealogists. Since then, we have published scores of titles, sold thousands of our and other genealogists' works and assisted hundreds in their search for records of their ancestors.

In 2006, after Byron's death, Barbara decided to retire. Sam assumed full control until his untimely death in 2006. Barbara's surviving children, George, Jacob, Karen and Peter are working to keep the Sistler and other excellent source books available.
